Concept / Planning

Determine the content of the website
Before you create a template, it makes sense to create a rough framework for the content, target groups, ... with its page structure so that you have an overview of where the content should be spatially arranged when creating a template layout.

Collect suggestions from existing templates or websites
It's often helpful to start off by looking at a few websites and making a quick note of what you like and don't like about them. (Functionalities, size and arrangement of the elements, color selection, target group (older generation, "smartphone generation", ...), ...)

Draw the idea in your head with a pen as a sketch on paper (arrangement of elements, color selection)
The next step was to write down your own ideas and visions with a pen on a piece of paper. Please also outline the spatial arrangement of the elements for your own template and select the basic colors of the individual areas. For example, an online color generator can be used for color selection (see link collection for reference links).
